Your Stay in the Historic Heart of Bruges

The Black Swan Hotel is a family-run hotel located in a historic building in the beating heart of Bruges. It’s the ideal base for your micro-adventure, just a stone’s throw away from the Market Square and the Belfry.

This charming three-star hotel has around 20 rooms, a cosy outdoor terrace and even a wooden hot tub that’s accessible until 10pm.

A perfect base to unwind after your trip, and enjoy a delicious breakfast (which is included) in the morning before setting of again and either discover Bruges by foot or hit the road again by Vespa.

Pricing

On your first day you can pick up your Vespa between 9-11am in the Center of Bruges

The price for The Vespa Trip Bruges starts from € 185 per person and includes:

FOOD

We always recommend some of our favorite spots for lunch along the way or you can order our picnic basket for €21 pp full of local specialties.

You can dine in several cozy restaurants or bars and in Bruges so you can reminisce.

After your overnight stay you can enjoy a full breakfast, which is included in your trip, before setting off again to explore.

HOW TO GET THERE?

There are a few different options:

Address: Meestraat 1, 8000 Brugge (on the parking lot of Hotel Canal Suites)

If you come by car, you can find a few options to park.

You can park at ‘t Pandreitje for 15.8 euros per day. Another option is to use the park & rides around town, which are free and allow unlimited parking. You can also consider parking at Parking Centrum Station, which costs 6.10 euros per day. This option includes a bus ride to and from the city center for up to 4 people, which is convenient transportation.

When coming by train you can by a ticket on the website of the NMBS by clicking here you will need to get off at Bruges train station and then hop on bus 41, 14 or 4 which stops around the corner of The Vespa Trip Bruges office. All information can be found on the website of De Lijn.

Another option is taking a cab, which is about a 10 minute drive from the train station.

INSURANCES

You are automatically insured for damage to third parties with your Vespa. For damage to your own Vespa you have two choices. Either you choose the omnium insurance (€ 19 per Vespa), where the own risk is € 0. If you don’t opt for this insurance, a deposit of € 250 is required for which you are liable.

While booking your Vespa you can choose for a cancellation insurance €21 p.p. This gives you the possibility to cancel or reschedule your trip for free. This way you plan your Bruges adventure without worries!

DEPOSIT

If you do not choose for a damage insurance, we ask to pay a deposit of 250 euro per scooter. This deposit can be paid at the earliest 7 days before departure.

Am I insured while driving?

If you have an accident with your Vespa, you are automatically insured for both material and body damages you would cause to third parties with your Vespa.

This does not include the damages you would incur yourself. These are normally covered by your own hospitalization or travel insurance. Don’t have one?

Do I need a license to ride the Vespa?

To drive a Vespa, you need to have a valid driving licence B, A or AM. The Vespas are automatic, so you don’t need to shift gears while driving – easy!

Do I need driving experience to ride a Vespa?

Before the start of the Vespa Trip, the person in charge will give you the necessary information a short test ride to set off safely.

Is the Vespa insured?

Damage to your own Vespa is insured if you choose the omnium insurance.

If you do not want this insurance, a deposit of € 250 is required for which you are liable.

Are kids allowed?

Even though the target group of the Vespa Trip is not children, we do have a few children joining the group every year.

It is important to keep in mind that the trip is not organized specifically for children/families. Also keep in mind that the distances can be quite long, children will be in the back seat the entire time and the Vespa’s are not equipped with an upper backrest/hull to lean against.
